Biodegradable single-use drinking straws made from actual straw!
 
Fed up of paper straws going soggy, or metal reusable straws clicking against your teeth, or fiddling to clean inside bamboo straws? Try these wheat straw drinking straws instead. 
 
They won't go soft in your drink and when you've finished they can just be added to your compost bin or green waste collection where they will very quickly biodegrade.
 
Made from 100% wheat straw, they are a natural agricultural by-product from wheat harvesting and require minimal energy to produce. 
 
As an entirely natural product there is a small amount variation in size between the individual straws, but they are about 195mm long and 3-4mm wide. They are easy to trim to length if you prefer a shorter straw, and are great for alcohol, juice or soft drinks. They're not suitable for thicker drinks such as smoothies due to the width of the straw.
 
Available in bundles of 20 or 50 straws, they're great for home use, but also particularly good for any eco-friendly wedding, party or other event that you may be planning.
 
Caution
Note that, as with paper straws, the wheat straws will disintegrate if chewed. For this reason they should not be given to children under 3, and other young children should be supervised.
