Cute notebook with a plantable seed paper cover - the perfect gift for all your eco-conscious friends!

The notebook has a handmade paper cover, in which a mix of wildflower seeds has been embedded. Inside there are 70 lined pages made of recycled paper.

When you've finished with the notebook, remove the seed paper cover and plant it to enjoy a collection of wildflowers. The internal pages can go in the normal paper recycling or they can be shredded and added to your garden compost.

How to plant the plantable paper cover:

  1. Fill a wide plant pot or small seed tray with good potting compost and firm down.
  2. Lay the seed paper flat on the soil (you can tear it into pieces to make it fit) and cover with a thin layer of compost.
  3. Press the compost down evenly over the paper.
  4. Give the compost a good soak then place in a sunny spot until the seeds germinate, watering as necessary.
  5. Plant the seedlings on when large enough.

Alternatively, if the weather is warm, you can plant the seed paper directly into the ground outside. Choose a sunny corner and as above, cover the seed paper with a very thin layer of compost and water in well.

The plantable notebook measures 103 x 145mm (which is just a whisker under A6).
